Across America

This is it – the longest bicycle trip at Venture.

This 40-day expedition brings you from the bustling streets of Los Angeles to the challenging and remote San Bernadino mountains, across the enchanted deserts of rural Arizona and New Mexico, and settles into the flat lands, rolling hills, and unparalleled southern hospitality of Texas and the southeastern United States.

And while you’ll travel through 8 states, travel over 3,500 miles, and peddle up more than 30,000 feet, this ride isn’t just about an epic adventure.

With a strong focus on biblical social justice and discipleship, you and your team will study, learn, reflect, and wrestle together on some of life’s most important and pressing questions: Who am I? Who is God? How might I respond to suffering and injustice in the world?

And as you meet your fundraising goal prior to departing, you’ll inspire your community to actively engage with you in the redemptive and beautiful story of justice and hope that God is writing right here, and right now, through the Venture Foundation’s projects in Southeast Asia.

This is a story about my experience on tour. It was a really great experience on tour. It was so great, in fact, that I decided I want to write about 50 – 200 words about this experience on tour. I love Jesus, and I love bikes, and I really like Restore International and everything that Bob Goff does, so tour seemed like a great way for me to write about my experience on tour. I like to write fake quotes, because fake quotes are awesome! I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed the tour with you guys. I feel like I now have a purpose and calling that I have been searching for all my life. I will always remember my tour, and want you to know how thankful I am that you let me come on the tour!

I love Jesus, and I love bikes, and I really like Restore International and everything that Bob Goff does, so tour seemed like a great way for me to write about my experience on tour. I grew up in the church, I work at a church, and I have been involved in church my whole life. So when I heard about the tour, I felt like I might have just been signing up for a 10-day church trip. It was quite the opposite. I joined a group of people who were genuinely excited about loving the world the way Jesus does, and actually want to change the world through caring for the poor and oppressed.

I heard about Venture through my school’s chapel, and my first thought was “This is crazy. I could never ride my bike across the country.” But I was pulled towards the Venture booth, and the next thing I knew I was putting my name and phone number down on a sheet for more information “You’ll never do that, Beth,” I told myself, but then I got a phone call the next day… Next thing I knew, I was calling my mom to tell her I was going to ride my bicycle across the country. This is a fake quote!

Everyone Deserves to Hear the Gospel

Venture partners with local communities to bring food security, education, discipleship, and the gospel to the least reached and most vulnerable people in the world.

We engage religious leaders, local governments, community members, and partner non-profits to meet the most pressing needs in remote, conflict-ridden, and desperate regions.

The Across America tour will specifically raise money to fund our refugee feeding programs in Southeast Asia, which is home to the world’s longest-running civil war. This war has displaced over 4 million people from their homes, hundreds of thousands of whom still live in Internally Displaced Person (IDP) or refugee camps in the region.

Venture works within the most remote and hardest-struck refugee camps in Southeast Asia to provide nutritious food for the people living in these camps. Through a partnership with Feed My Starving Children, we provide over (insert number here) every year to refugee camps in Southeast Asia.

“This is a fake quote. We should have at least one of these quotes on this page. Before the meals, my children couldn’t sleep well at night because they were so hungry, and they would go to school and fall asleep and get in trouble. Since we have received meals, the kids are sleeping well, doing well in school and are happier.” – Jane Doe, Chaing Mai Refugee Camp
